Shreveport, LA – April 10, 2025 – The Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) has officially approved Third Future Schools (TFS) to operate Linwood Charter School in Shreveport beginning with the 2025–2026 academic year. This milestone represents a major step forward for Linwood and the greater Shreveport community as the school joins a network nationally recognized for rapid and sustainable school improvement.
Third Future Schools is a nationally respected turnaround expert with a strong track record of transforming underperforming schools into high-achieving campuses. Most recently in Louisiana, TFS has been leading the successful turnaround of Prescott Academy in Baton Rouge, where significant academic gains have already been realized within just one year of its leadership. Under Third Future’s direction, Prescott Academy’s school performance score jumped from 42.2 to 58.5—a dramatic improvement that demonstrates the power and effectiveness of the TFS model in action.
