Kylon Wishom is an educational leader committed to transformational leadership, positive culture, and student success. A two-time graduate of Southern University with degrees in Business Management and Educational Leadership, he brings over a decade of experience as a teacher, dean, and school leader, alongside seven years in the oil and gas industry. Throughout his career, Wishom has consistently driven remarkable academic outcomes. Under his leadership at Prescott Academy, students achieved over two years of academic growth in a single year, placing the school in the top 8% statewide for student growth. He has also led significant turnarounds and earned recognition contributing to a National Blue Ribbon School. A native of Lutcher, Wishom draws on 13 years of coaching experience, including a state championship and an induction into the Southern University Track and Field Hall of Fame, to foster teamwork and grit. Beyond the classroom, Wishom is dedicated to community wellness and mentorship, organizing local 5K events and actively serving with 100 Black Men of Metro Baton Rouge. He is a proud husband and father of three, passionate about empowering both students and educators to excel.
