Mr. Speer has served students and parents in public education for almost two decades. He started his teaching career working as a 1st & 4th grade teacher, before moving into 7th & 8th English Language Arts. During this time he served as a lead teacher, PTO liaison and earned teacher of the year honors. Mr. Speer eventually moved into school
administration and leadership, beginning this part of his career as a curriculum coach.
As a school administrator, Mr. Speer has served in the Dean of Students, Assistant Principal and Principal roles at the elementary and middle school levels. After spending time working as an administrator, Mr. Speer moved into a curriculum development role with Third Future Schools, serving as both a curriculum developer and assistant director of curriculum. Mr. Speer has served as a high school football & Colorado Pride soccer coach, and in his spare time he enjoys fly fishing, hiking, and spending time with his
