Willie J. Smith Jr. serves as the Principal of Fair Park Middle School, where he is committed to academic excellence, accountability, and student growth. He works to foster a strong, positive school culture while building meaningful partnerships with families and the community. Before becoming principal, Mr. Smith served Fair Park Middle School as Assistant Principal and School Testing Coordinator. In that role, he provided instructional coaching and data-driven support to teachers and students, contributing to an average of 2.1 years of student growth on the NWEA MAP End-of-Year benchmarks. Mr. Smith brings a diverse background in education and student support, including experience as a middle school lead math teacher, mental health professional, and adjunct professor. His leadership is grounded in a belief that students thrive when they are challenged academically, supported personally, and surrounded by a safe and empowering school environment. Mr. Smith holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice, a Master of Public Administration in Human Resources Management, and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, all from Grambling State University. He is proud to lead Fair Park Middle School and remains focused on creating a rigorous, supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.
