Elizabeth O. Miranda is a dedicated educational leader originally from McAllen, Texas. She began her teaching career in Austin ISD after earning her bachelor’s degree in Education from Texas State University. During her first year in the classroom, she was named the district’s First-Year Teacher of the Year while earning both her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus in Math and Science, and later her Doctor of Education degree from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Her doctoral research focused on bilingual education and instructional improvement. Her professional experience spans a range of roles, including ESL teacher, gifted and talented teacher, special education teacher, and assistant principal. As principal of Manor Middle School, she is committed to academic excellence, equity, and building a strong, inclusive school community.
