Morehouse Elementary School Principal Marcus Brown is a dedicated educational leader with more than 14 years of experience serving students, families, and school communities across Louisiana. Mr. Brown began his career in education as a classroom teacher before advancing into leadership roles as an assistant principal and principal at both the elementary and secondary levels. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to building positive school cultures, improving student achievement, and developing strong instructional systems that support every learner. Mr. Brown is also a former NFL player and collegiate athlete whose experiences in athletics helped shape his leadership, discipline, and teamwork mindset. Outside of education, he enjoys mentoring youth, officiating sports, spending time with his wife and two sons, and giving back to the community. He holds advanced degrees in educational leadership and curriculum and instruction and is currently completing doctoral studies in education.
