Mrs. Katie McKnight brings 25 years of educational experience serving the students, families, and community of Jasper, Texas. Throughout her career, she has been committed to helping students achieve academic success while building strong relationships and a positive school culture. Mrs. McKnight began her career as a classroom teacher and spent many years teaching mathematics, helping students develop confidence and critical thinking skills. During the 2025–2026 school year, she served as Assistant Principal of Parnell Elementary, supporting students, staff, and families while helping lead instructional and campus initiatives. She is honored to continue serving the Parnell Elementary community as Principal for the 2026–2027 school year. Mrs. McKnight believes every child can learn and succeed when provided with high expectations, meaningful support, and caring relationships. She is dedicated to creating a safe, engaging learning environment where students thrive and educators are empowered to grow. Outside of school, Mrs. McKnight enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and making memories with her family. “At Parnell Elementary, we believe every child deserves a champion, every day.
