To enroll your student at Sam Houston Collegiate Prep for the 2023-2024 school year, please go through the Midland ISD enrollment process:
Parents and guardians: We will need copies of the following documents before your registration can be finalized. You may drop off the documents at the school.

Documents Needed:

  1.  Student Immunization Records
  2. Copy of Parent/Guardian ID or Driver’s License
  3. Copy of Parent/Guardian Social Security Card
  4. Copy of Recent Utility Bill (Showing Residential Address)

​Do you charge tuition?

No. Sam Houston Collegiate Prep is a free, public charter school.

When is the first day of school?

The first day of school for the 2023-2024 school year is Wednesday, 2 August 2023.

When do classes start and end?

Classes begin at 8 a.m. and end between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. based on the student’s grade level. Please click here to review the Master Schedule.

Which grades do you serve?

For the 2023-2024 school year, our school will serve grades K-6.

How old must a child be to enter Kindergarten?

Students must be 5 years old by October 1, 2023.

Do you offer before and after care services?

Yes. Our school offers free before and after care services. Hours are from 6:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Instruction will begin at 8:00 a.m., but students are welcome to come early to read, study, or use a computer. Should a parent need to drop their child off as early as 6:30 a.m. (in order to get to work on time, for example), our doors will be open at that time.

Where is the school located?
Does SHCP have a dress code?

Yes. Students are expected to be dressed neatly, well-groomed and have a general good appearance. Read our Dress Code policy.
