Born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, Mrs. Baylor-Nard is a blessed wife of 20 years and mother of two. She began her teaching career in August 2012 and has accumulated over 14 years of experience serving students and families. A proud alumni of Louisiana State University-Shreveport, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in General Studies with a concentration in Biological Sciences and dedicated her classroom years to teaching Science across grades 6–12. Her passion for people naturally led her into school leadership, where she spent two years as an Assistant Principal within the Third Future Schools network in Shreveport, Louisiana. She believes that genuine relationships with students, families, and the community are what makes a school thrive. She is committed to meeting every child where they are, challenging them to think critically, and refusing to let them settle for less than their best. As the Principal of Theron Jones Early Literacy Center, she is dedicated to building a strong foundation of literacy that will carry every scholar forward.
