Ashley McCann serves as the Principal of South Waco Elementary, bringing a strong combination of instructional expertise, operational leadership, and a steadfast commitment to student success. Her leadership philosophy centers on growth, high expectations, and continuous improvement, meeting students and staff where they are while providing the tailored support needed to excel every day.
Ashley began her career in education as a sixth-grade science teacher before stepping into administrative leadership as an Assistant Principal. Prior to her work in education, she gained extensive professional experience in the oil and gas industry, where she developed a results-driven approach grounded in clear communication, accountability, and strong relationship-building.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas Permian Basin and a master’s degree in Management and Leadership. As Principal, Ashley is dedicated to fostering a positive school culture, driving academic achievement, and building strong, collaborative partnerships with South Waco families, staff, and the broader community.
